If we can't win, you can't play...
Nine year old Jericho Scott is a very good baseball pitcher; so good in fact that he has been banned from pitching against other nine year olds in his league. He has never hit an opposing batter, however, league officials say it is 'just too scary' for kids to have to face him.
Unfortunately, their 'too scary' story is the league official's way of pouring syrup on shit and calling it "pancakes". The real reason can be seen in this quote from the AP article:
"Jericho’s coach and parents say the boy is being unfairly targeted because he turned down an invitation to join the defending league champion, which is sponsored by an employer of one of the league’s administrators.
Jericho instead joined a team sponsored by Will Power Fitness. The team was 8-0 and on its way to the playoffs when Jericho was banned from pitching."
So basically, if he were playing on the defending champion's team, he'd just be "great"; however, since he chose to play on a different team, he's just 'too scary'.
So, seeing on how the league officials like to sugarcoat bullshit, I will follow in their footsteps and simply say that: Youth Baseball League of New Haven league officials, you are all Serious Losers, as is your league attorney Peter Noble. I consider that sugarcoated, because what I'd like to call you isn't nearly as polite.
Youth Baseball League of New Haven, your players are kids and have the potential to be great; and even those who don't become great are all still winners for playing. Your coaches (excluding Wilfred Vidro) and administrators are poor sports, childish and vindictive. They will never be winners and are in fact, full fledged failures and all Serious Losers!
